Well the cook-out went well. Everything came out tasting good, except the garlic bread which I forgot about until it was burned beyond edibility. Well, that happens. Preparing a big meal solo was a bigger challenge that I imagined. Timing is key and it was touch and go there for a while as I juggled the grill, the stove, conversation, and bottle(s) of beer. I guess the bread was a small sacrafice, it could have been the steaks.

Anyway, it was the first social event I have hosted in Korea. Back home we would do this on a regular basis throughout the summer. So in addition to the food (t-bones, sweet taters, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, and apple pie) I was reminded of summer nights in Virginia, sitting on the deck and watching the fireflies dance.

Hehe, that’s why you should solicit “volunteers” from the guests to help you get it all together. I’m hoping to get some BBQing (and of course, fishing) done this weekend but the weather report isn’t looking too good right now. Let’s hope it improves as the week goes on!

That’s sweet–you burned the bread, just like I do. Hope you remembered to do it in two batches-first one you burn as a offering and the second one you eat.

Dear John I am relieved that you did not croak and are doing well. I really miss our mild disagreements it is too bad I blew my fuse, just adding this note to say after I cooled off, about six weeks, I decided it was time to apologize. So I humbly ask for your bureaucratic forgiveness you “Bleep.”

No problem, Euro. Glad you came back. Although as you can see I have not been posting much, although I do intend to get back into this. Just wrapped up in my personal affairs these days.

Sorry, I have sworn off posting pictures of Korean women. Long story.

I’m relieved that you’ve no plans for more of “those” photos. However, I do think it’s time for another photo of that lovely charming baby, isn’t it? Please??? Have you “talked” to her by telephone much? What have you sent her to wear?

Right now Gracyn Rose has more clothes than she can possibly wear or wear out. And she is so tiny still! I think a littel kimono would be cool or one of those little korean jackets.
